Itinerary:
7 Days Cairo & Alexandria Tour Package
Day 1: Arrival to Cairo
Upon your arrival to Cairo airport, you will find Visitors Egypt’s representative waiting for you with a sign showing the company’s logo (Visitors Egypt Tours).
Then you will be transferred by an AC vehicle to the hotel.
Overnight stay in Cairo.
Day 2: Giza Pyramids & The Egyptian Museum
Breakfast. Then the tour guide will pick you up from the hotel.
Move by an air-conditioned car to start your tour by visiting the plateau of Giza where you will see the Great Pyramids of Giza (The only remaining landmark of the Old seven wonders of the world). You will see the Pyramid of Cheops and the pyramids of Chephren and Mycerinus. Take a few pictures from the panoramic area before moving on to the Valley Temple and the Great Sphinx.
Then move to visit The Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. You will get the chance to visit the collection of King Tutankhamen including the famous golden mask of the boy king.
Additionally, you can also visit the Mummies Hall (for extra ticket purchasable on sit) in which you will see the mummies of the ancient Egyptian Kings.
After finishing the tour, you will be escorted back to the hotel.

Day 3: Saqqara, Memphis & Dahshur
Breakfast. Then the tour guide will pick you up from the hotel.
Move by an air-conditioned car to start your tour by visiting The Step Pyramid of king Djoser (Zoser) in Saqqara, the world’s oldest major stone structure. It was built in the 3rd Dynasty for King Djoser.
After that transfer to Memphis which was founded by King Menes, and was the capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom, it was considered to be a center of rule and culture for over 3000 years the first capital of Egypt, and see the Statue of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx of Memphis.
Then move to Dahshur to visit the famous Bent Pyramid and Red Pyramid of Dahshur
After finishing the tour, you will be escorted back to the hotel.

Day 4: Alexandria
Breakfast. Then the tour guide will pick you up from the hotel.
Travel to Alexandria, start with a visit to the Roman Amphitheater in Kom El-Dekka; a marble theater that once seated 800 spectators with galleries, sections of mosaic flooring, and a pleasure garden, all surrounded by Roman baths and villas.
Then proceed to visit the Catacombs of Kom El-Shokafa, the necropolis of 3 sub-levels dating from the 2nd century AD merges aspects of Egyptian, Greek, and Roman culture in its features.
You will also drive by Pompey’s Pillar and stop for a photo stop, (it was constructed in honor of the Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century).
Next stop is the library of Alexandria (Bibliotecha Alexandrina); the biggest library in the world – now with 8 million books. You will visit the library’s manuscript museum, president Saddat Museum and impressions of Alexandria Museum.
The car will then take you to visit the church of St. Mark – the oldest church in Africa. Through your drive you will see the old downtown and the local historical architecture which has baroque style designs and Italian and French style properties.
Visit El Nabi Daniel Mosque which is believed by many people to be related to Alexander the great tomb.
The car will then take you to visit the prettiest and biggest mosque in the city: the Abbo Elabbas Mosque, and the strangest sight outside it: an old funfair where children play on very antique funfair rides and eat candy floss.
Opposite is the corniche and the old harbor where you can see the old fishing boats, men fishing and traditional fishermen making nets. The photos taken there are amazing.
Continue to visit the Citadel of Quaitbay which was built on the same site as the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the seven wonders of ancient world . A most spectacular castle which is a great photo stop.
The car will then take you to the gardens of Montaza, commonly known as the Love Garden (all romantic couples and families go there) you will visit the royal gardens of King Farouk (the last king in the history of Egypt) and see the royal palaces of Haramlek and Salamlek.
After finishing the tour, you will be escorted back to the hotel.

Day 5: Old Islamic Cairo
Breakfast. Then the tour guide will pick you up from the hotel.
Move by an air-conditioned car to start your your Old Islamic Cairo Tour with the Citadel of Salah El-Din in which you can also visit the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali.
Then, you will visit the mosque of Sultan Hassan and the mosque of El-Refa’ie. They are located right in front of the Citadel.
Afterwards, move to visit the mosque of Ahmed Ibn Tulun.
Then move to visit the famous and beautiful Mu’izz Street which displays the greatest density of significant Islamic monuments anywhere in the world to this day.
Many of the palaces, mosques, and monuments of the Ayyubid, Mamluk, and Ottoman rulers that controlled Egypt after the Fatimids continued to be built along this street through the center of the city.
After finishing the tour, you will be escorted back to the hotel.

Day 6: Old Coptic Cairo
Breakfast. Then the tour guide will pick you up from the hotel.
Move by an air-conditioned car to start your tour by visiting the old Coptic Cairo. This colorful quarter is the original home of the Coptic Christians, one of the worlds oldest Christian denominations. Stop to see the Hanging Church, aka St Virgin Mary Church. Built in the 7th century, this old church takes its name from its location: sited above a gateway in the old Roman fortress. Admire the courtyard and interior with its screens, marble pulpit and icons, and hear about its long history.
Next, after a visit to the Monastery and Church of St George, an early 20th-century church that is the only round church in Egypt, call at Abu Serga, a 5th-century Coptic Church. View the 24 interior columns and 12th-century icons on the walls, and learn how the church stands where the holy family is thought to have stayed during their flight into Egypt from Israel King Herod. Then, take a look at the Ben Ezra Synagogue, once a Christian church, before finishing your tour at the Coptic Museum, located in one of Coptic Cairo oldest areas. See some of the 16,000 ancient artifacts on display, including precious icons and books that illustrate the history of Egypt Coptic community.
After finishing the tour, you will be escorted back to the hotel.

Day 7: Departure
Breakfast. Then our representative will pick you up from the hotel to transfer you to the airport for your departure flight.
