Start at the Valley of the Kings, where tombs cut in the mountain for the new kingdom pharaohs, ruled over Egypt for almost 500 years between 1550 – 1080 BC.
You will get to visit 3 tombs in addition to the famous tomb of King Tutankhamen in which lies his mummy.
Tutankhamun ruled Egypt for approximately 10 years from around 1336-1327 BCE. In November 1922, Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon discovered Tutankhamen’s near-intact tomb in the Valley of the Kings. The king’s mummified body was found surrounded by precious grave goods, in his golden coffin, after his burial chamber was officially opened on 17 February 1923 in the presence of Egyptologists and government officials
Proceed to visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, one of the most striking monuments in Egypt built at the bottom of al Qurna mountain cliff. Queen Hatshepsuit was the famous female pharaoh of Egypt, posed as a male to gain the throne. And then, have a brief photo stop at the colossi of Memnon, marks the entrance of the ruined funerary temple of Amenhotep III (1391–1353 BC).
You will stop by the Colossi of Memnon for about 15 minutes, and also at the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III.
